Family

Lifestyle or on location

With every family session, I try to capture real-life moments, emotion and connection - the things that make us human. I really want my family photo sessions to feel like a play session instead of a "photo shoot".

I believe that when you are working with children and pets, being patient and having fun is the only way of capturing those special moments.

As a mother of two very busy boys, I also understand that posing (sitting still) for a photo is sometimes not an option! Then I also understand that there is sometimes a window between nap times and snack times and always try to keep that in mind when choosing a time to shoot. That is why I am flexible and adapt to each family's unique needs and routines.

I prefer to take the photos in your home (where the kids feel at ease) or location of your choice. For instance, a familiar place you as a family spend a lot of time.

Most of my shots are candid and unposed and sometimes a bit offbeat. Although I do pose a lot of photos, I believe that the best photos are taken in-between the posed ones. Those in-between photos are natural, fun and real life.

With my background in photojournalism, I have always loved capturing real-life moments. Life is sometimes not as perfect and sometimes even a bit messy, but it is beautiful!
